When I last messaged in early March, the clocks had just jumped ahead. The unofficial start of spring.

Not long after, the Spring Equinox. And around the same time, a convergence of:

-cherry blossoms blooming in DC and Osaka

-the end of Ramadan into Eid weekend

-the final weeks of Lent leading up to Easter

-a Holy Week full moon

Thankfully I was able to get to St Francis D'Assisi Church in Southwest Detroit for the last fish fry of the season. Didn’t want to go into the weekend stuffed to the gills, so stuck to a mini-cake-and-coffee combo.

Some photos from the venture (didn’t get to go inside the actual church, only the hall across the street):

Now into the last of the in-between, where it’s spring but still kinda winter.

Soon enough the cherry blossoms will be blooming on Belle Isle, and through the portal we’ll go into the heart of spring.

Oss,
